Haley McCarthy

Dr. Haley McCarthy hails from Florida, where she grew up in the Tampa Bay area. She earned her degree at the University of Central Florida in Biology with an emphasis in Environmental Studies. She also achieved a Certificate in Veterinary Forensic Science from the University of Florida. Before going to vet school, Dr. McCarthy worked at two emergency clinics in Central Florida which drove her passion to become a veterinarian. She then moved to Tucson, Arizona to obtain her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine as a member of the inaugural class at the University of Arizona.

After graduation, Dr. McCarthy further honed her skills working in emergency medicine in Oregon, where she gained extensive experience managing critical cases and urgent care.

Her primary interests in veterinary medicine include ultrasonography, surgery, emergency care, nutrition, and cardiology. During Dr. McCarthy’s free time, she loves to paint, read fantasy novels, paddleboard, and hike. She recently moved from Oregon back to the east coast to be closer to her family. She is bringing her three fur babies, Maverick, Wrigley, and Swimmy. Dr. McCarthy is ecstatic to serve Charlotte and provide optimal care to her patients at Carmel Road.
